Automation of the annotation of autonomous vehicle test drive videos Processing of large volumes of test environment data, including visual data Cybersecurity for products used in autonomous driving
We are on the threshold of the mobility of the future. The automotive industry, drone delivery, rail and air transport, and logistics are promising sectors that are expected to undergo dynamic change in the coming years. At the same time, these sectors represent an opportunity for the Czech economy to stand alongside the most advanced countries that care about safe transport, emission-free cars, congestion-free cities and, primarily, healthier lives for their citizens.
The Mobility Innovation Hub (MIH)was established by CzechInvest in 2021 in accordance with the objectives of the Innovation Strategy of the Czech Republic: The Country for the Future, with support from the government and the Automotive Industry Association. The Mobility Innovation Hub focuses on connecting key sectors and building the mobility innovation ecosystem.
In addition to supporting startups, the purpose of the MIH is also to bring together established companies, scientific and research institutes, innovation centers, secondary schools and universities, sectoral associations and clusters, investors and Czech state and local authorities, as well as international organizations.
Another part of the project is a business incubator that provides a broad range of services for startups, including financial support. The Mobility Innovation Hub is part of CzechInvest’s Technology Incubation project. The project is planned to run for five years.
The Mobility Innovation Hub and the incubation programme are focused especially, but not exclusively, on the following areas:
The transport sector is the second largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the Czech Republic. In the period 2000-2018, CO2 emissions from transport increased by 66%. Within the transport sector, individual car transport is the largest producer of CO2 emissions, followed by road freight transport and road public transport. Transportation is a significant source of pollutants in the Czech Republic.
Smart manufacturing refers to manufacturing processes based on digitalisation, robotisation and automation of the majority of current human activities. It ensures faster and more efficient production, as well as higher-precision, more reliable and less expensive products. At the same time, it makes more efficient use of materials and is based on the principles of ecological industry.
A transformation of the transport sector involving the gradual deployment of automated transport systems and vehicles can be expected in the near future. Data-connected, cooperative and autonomous vehicles not only represent a significant and inevitable innovation for the automotive and telecommunications industries, but will significantly influence the future form and operation of the entire transportation system, particularly road transport.
Digitalisation in the area of mobility involves a broad range of tools, from intelligent transportation systems, through software and electronics in vehicles, to assistance systems and smartphone apps. These interconnected solutions offer opportunities for new functionalities, as well as greater efficiency and user comfort.
Our partners regularly issue innovation challenges that are topical for the mobility industry:
Automation of the annotation of autonomous vehicle test drive videos Processing of large volumes of test environment data, including visual data Cybersecurity for products used in autonomous driving
Big data and AI in the automotive industry. Harness the power of computer vision and augmented reality to transform your customer experience. Use of modern methods (machine learning method and…
Startups can register in the incubation programme here.
Partnership between the public sector, private companies and scientific institutions is the cornerstone of the Mobility Innovation Hub. Successful implementation of the project and effective support for innovative solutions is possible only through the involvement of partners across sectors.
Whether this involves connecting startups with potential investors, validating the developed solutions in industrial practice or creating a specialised community of stakeholders, the MIH’s activities will be formulated through cooperation between the public sector (at the state and regional level), private companies and representatives of the academic sphere.
There is a full range of opportunities for cooperation within the MIH. From financial involvement and expert input, through marketing and media partnerships, to the placement of incubation activities in any of the regions of the Czech Republic. Partnership is open to both large and small enterprises in all areas that are relevant to the development of the mobility of the future. An overview of services is available here.
If you have any questions or if you are interested in entering into a partnership within the MIH platform, do not hesitate to contact us here.
Partners can select from a broad range of services, which we will tailor to their needs.
… and much more. Please contact us for the complete list of service, the pricelist and conditions of cooperation.

At CzechInvest, we have been guiding businesses for nearly thirty years. We are a state contributory organisation of the Ministry of Industry and Tradeand we provide most of our services free of charge. Our mission is to develop the field of innovation and the investment appetite of companies operating in the Czech Republic. We support investors with higher value added, i.e. those that bring something extra to the Czech Republic, such as qualified science and research workers, as well as know-how in the form of innovations. We also support representatives of municipalities and regions in communicating with companies and in obtaining subsidies. We open doors to ministries and technology missions abroad. Another significant part of our work consists in supporting domestic large, medium-sized and small enterprises and startups. We also support individuals with good ideas. Because it always starts with them.
